In the past year, he’s seen gains on the field and in the weight room that are a testament to his dedication to the sport. I consider him a great friend and an excellent teammate and would recommend him to any program because I truly believe he will work to be the Big Dog whenever he goes. " Lukas Pacal is a very talented player and one of the most competitive and hard-working players I’ve seen in Europe. Once he decided to chase the dream of playing collegiate baseball in the states he has completely dedicated himself not only on the field but in the weight room and classroom. Even though he only recently turned 20 years old, he has taken on the role of mentoring younger pitchers in the club and has inserted himself into a leadership role for our young team. Because of his recent accomplishments in the top competition in the Czech Extraleague, he has been added to the Czech Republic Men's National team roster. He has a very good fastball and plays his secondary pitches well. In the year and a half of knowing Lukas he has gone from sitting 82-85 (spring/summer 2021) to consistently sitting 84-88 top 90 during our current 2022 season. The jump in velocity and arm speed has tightened the spin on his breaking ball and has turned his newly developed change up into an out pitch. With his work ethic and dedication, there is no question he will continue to make jumps in velocity and develop into a big-game pitcher. He is a very hard-nosed player who always wants the ball. "
